Wilkinsons proudly announce the Wales Air Ambulance as its new regional Charity of the Year.
Throughout 2012/13, Wilkinson stores across South Wales will be fundraising in order to raise as much money as they can to help make a real difference for the charity’s emergency air cover service, for those who face life-threatening illness or injuries.
For the last three years, Wilkinsons has nominated a different national Charity of the Year. However, this year the company has pledged to support smaller charities within the community and it was the Wilkinsons’ team members in the South Wales region who chose the Wales Air Ambulance.
Since opening its first store in 1930, Wilkinsons has been committed to Britain’s high streets and prides itself on being a community focused retailer, actively supporting charities and community groups.
The stores in the region will be kicking off various fundraising activities throughout the year and will be working in collaboration with the Wales Air Ambulance in order to raise as much awareness and money in the coming twelve months.
