‘Scotland, we’re coming’, says EtihadPosted: February 28, 2014
He said: “Scotland, we’re coming. We’ll start flying from our first Scottish city next year.”
Hogan, speaking at the 84th Scottish Passenger Agents’ Association annual dinner, also hinted that the carrier plans to fly from more than one Scottish city, adding: “Expect us within five years to be flying from Scottish cities.”
By flying from Scotland, Etihad would be following in the footsteps of its fellow Gulf carriers Qatar and Emirates.
Qatar is to start flying from Edinburgh in May, while Emirates is to mark its tenth year flying from Glasgow by bringing an A380 to the airport for a one-off flight.
