Vueling allows the use of electronic devices during all stages of the flight

All passengers will be able to use smartphones, tablets, portable video consoles, mp3 players and e-books during takeoff and landing, on airplane mode.

Vueling will allow the use of electronic devices on board its aircraft during all flight phases, including taxiing, take-off and landing.

Starting today the use of electronic devices during all phases of flight will be possible onboard of all Vueling aircraft. The company already has the approval from the Agencia Estatal de Seguridad Aérea Española (AESA) for the implementation of the new rules, which will allow the airline passengers to use their portable electronic devices in all phases of the flight.

All electronic devices can be turned on during taxiing, take-off and landing, as long as the terminals are connected on airplane mode and not transmitting data.

Given their weight and size and taking into consideration the rules regarding keeping floor space clear of obstacles during take-off and landing, portable computers and notebooks can only be used during the flight itself, and again always following instructions given out by the crew.

When can Vueling passengers use their smartphone, tablet, e-reader or mp3?

Taxiing on runway  Yes, but in accordance with the crew’s security instructions and after having put away heavy objects before take-off NO
Take-off YES NO

NOTE: Portable computers cannot be used during taxiing, take-off and landing. In all cases, passengers must abide by the rules laid down by the crew.
