Virgin Atlantic 747 returns to Gatwick after technical problemPosted: December 30, 2014
A Virgin Atlantic passenger plane has landed safely at Gatwick airport after developing a technical issue with one of the landing gears shortly after take off.
The Boeing 747 was heading to Las Vegas but was forced to return to the West Sussex airport.
“Virgin Atlantic can confirm that flight VS43 has landed safely back at Gatwick. Our priority now is to look after our passengers and crew,” the airline said in a tweet.
Nick Hughes, head of sales at Attraction World, was one of the passengers on board flight VS43.
