TransAsia plane crashes in TaiwanPosted: February 4, 2015
At least 12 people have been killed after a TransAsia Airways jet crashed close to the Taiwanese capital of Taipei.
The plane came down in the Keelung river with 58 people on board.
Rescuers are currently trying to cut people out of the wreckage and so far officials have counted 16 people with injuries. The BBC is reporting that 30 people are still missing.
A video of the incident appears to show the ATR-72 turbo-prop jet banking sharply before it clips a bridge on its way down.
The flight was heading from the capital to the outlying Kinmen islands.
