Spanish low-cost carrier Vueling has signed an agreement to lease four new Airbus A320 aircraft from lessor BOC Aviation.

The aircraft, to be equipped with International Aero Engines V2522-A5 engines, are scheduled to be delivered in the first half of 2013.

“Our plan is to link Barcelona to over 100 destinations in Europe, Northern Africa and the Middle East this year and the aircraft from BOC Aviation will be used on these routes,” says Vueling chief executive Alex Cruz.

Vueling operates a fleet of 53 A320s.
